We are seeking a strategic, proactive, and optimistic leader to work with an incredible team of patient care staff who have a passion for caring for others.</span></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Our patient population on South 8 includes patients requiring general medicine or progressive level of care. We care for patients with complex medical needs and co-morbidities, including CHF, NSTEMI, chest pain, coronary artery disease, post-intervention sheath management, COPD, pneumonia or other cardio-respiratory problems, End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), peritoneal dialysis, liver failure, alcohol withdrawal and/or other intoxicants and much more! It’s a great place to learn a wide variety of diseases processes and broaden clinical assessment skills. Our unit has a high number of daily admissions, discharges and transfers. South 8 also houses the remote telemetry cock pit which is staffed by specially trained PCAs who learn cardiac rhythm interpretation.&nbsp;Our nursing team cares for a diverse group of patients with a variety of care needs, and we pride ourselves on making connections with our patients and families to partner together.</span></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 7.5pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Under the direction of the Director and Vice President, the Nurse Manager is responsible for directing, planning, coordinating and supervising activities associated with patient care. This includes establishing, maintaining and evaluating standards of care and assuming responsibility for staff development, environmental, human resource and fiscal management.</span></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 7.5pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient.
