The successful candidate will collaborate with attorneys in our Charlotte and Minneapolis offices and will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.</p>\n<h2>A Day in the Life</h2>\n<p>In this role, you will collaborate closely with attorneys and clients across a range of innovative industries, including medical devices, banking, consumer products, software, electronics, and more. While technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, biomedical, computer science, or a related engineering field is preferred, it is not required. We welcome applications from candidates seeking hybrid or in-office work arrangements, with a strong preference for those based in or near Charlotte or Minneapolis.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Drawing on your experience in patent prosecution, you will play a key role in building and managing both U.S. and international patent portfolios. Working as part of a collaborative and solutions-focused team, you will contribute to drafting and prosecuting patent applications, conducting due diligence reviews, and performing freedom-to-operate and patent landscape analyses. This position is ideal for a team player who is eager to partner with colleagues and clients to navigate complex intellectual property challenges and uncover strategic opportunities.</p>\n<h2>We Know You</h2>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, along with an undergraduate degree in engineering. A background in mechanical, electrical, biomedical computer science, or a related engineering field is preferred. Strong academic credentials, excellent analytical abilities, and polished writing skills are essential for success in this role.
