Description

St. Leonard’s Community Services, London & Region (SLCS) supports and advocates with people who are, or may be, justice‑involved, offering purposeful, person-centered programs for adults and youth across adult residential, youth and adult community programs, and school‑based/youth diversion services. SLCS has been a trusted partner in the region for over 55 years, operating four adult residential homes, and delivering 20+ programs, grounded in restorative practices with the majority of our resources invested in direct services. As we embark on a new strategic plan that will guide our vision for the agency from 2026 through to 2031, SLCS is recruiting a Manager, Fund Development. The Manager will be instrumental in developing and leading our first long-term fund development strategy. By expanding our visibility, sharing our vision and mission, cultivating new donor relationships, and developing multiple new revenue streams, we will amplify our impact and ensure more people in our community will have access to the support they need and deserve. Key Responsibilities: Leading the development of SLCS’ first comprehensive fund development strategy, including annual and multi-year plans, incorporating a range of solicitations and giving campaigns Support the development and management of the fund development budget Building and executing a donor acquisition and growth strategy Design and manage donor and partner engagement opportunities by developing compelling cases for support and tailored proposals Creating objectives, timelines and performance measures aligned to our strategic priorities Analyzing and reporting on fund development data to evaluate fundraising solicitations, identifying new revenue sources, and optimizing fund development performance Establishing fund development policies and procedures for the organization, ensuring legislative compliance, and providing guidance on ethical fundraising Identifying grant and proposal opportunities that align with strategic priorities, leading the process from application through reporting, enrolling colleagues as needed to support the process Engage staff and leadership on priority fundraising initiatives, providing education and guidance, cultivating organizational ambassadors, and fostering a culture of philanthropy Partnering with internal resources, crafting philanthropic communications within multi-channel campaigns Required Qualifications: Post-secondary education from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 5+ yrs. fundraising experience in a charity/non-profit or a sales/business development role Demonstrated success in donor relations, grant writing, and fund development Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, with strong public‑facing communication and relationship‑building abilities Proficiency with donor management/CRM systems (e.g. CanadaHelps or similar) and MailChimp Valid G Class license and a reliable vehicle CFRE or Fundraising Certificate/diploma is an asset Candidates who are proficient in both official languages of Canada is an asset What We Offer: At SLCS, we provide meaningful and rewarding career opportunities, that includes a total compensation package: Employer paid Benefits Package 4 weeks paid vacation to start Employer RRSP Contributions Investment in your professional growth through professional development funds Paid Personal Time Wage grid includes annual wage progression The role involves a combination of on‑site work at our head office (405 Dundas St.) as well as attending community‑based appointments. This position requires a clear Police Check with Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) screening as a required condition of employment, as per SLCS policy.
