    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Currently offering a $</strong><strong>3,000 sign-on bonus!</strong></p>\n<p><strong>The Food Service Attendant </strong>assembles, serves, and delivers food, and performs sanitation activities in assigned areas: patient area for patient tray assembly and sanitation; patient tray delivery and menu collection; or the detail dining areas.  May operate dishwasher or assists with washing/sterilizing dishes. Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties.</p>\n<p>This is a full-time  position with competitive rates starting at <strong>$17/hr up to $26/hr</strong> based on experience. When appropriate, our standard differentials are 10% for the evening shift, 20% for the night shift, and 15% for weekends.</p>\n<p>You must be at least 16 years of age to apply for this position. </p>\n<p><strong>We are offering a $3,000 sign-on/retention bonus for this position.  *The bonus is available for external hires only (or current D-H employees moving to a 30 - 40 hour per week position from a per diem role) and certain conditions apply.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>To learn more about our Food and Nutrition Services department and roles - watch here</strong>: </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Patient Tray Assembly and Sanitation:</li>\n<li>Plates food items and assembles patient meal trays. Assembles add-on sheet items and tube feeding items following proper procedures.</li>\n<li>Prepares food items for all areas, following standardized recipes and production methods. Prepares patient nourishment's and write-ins as tallied following proper production procedures.</li>\n<li>Ensures that area and equipment are maintained up to accepted standards and quality.</li>\n<li>Loads and operates dish washing equipment. Takes dish machine temperatures daily.</li>\n<li>Takes pot machine temperatures daily and pH level of sanitizer.</li>\n<li>Performs assigned cleaning functions, ensuring that areas and equipment are maintained up to accepted standards of quality.</li>\n<li>Operates floor washing machine</li>\n<li>Maintains and properly stocks all necessary food and supply items.</li>\n<li>Labels and dates all necessary food and supply items.</li>\n<li>Uses and mixes chemicals in a safe manner. Labels all secondary bottles.</li>\n<li>Patient Tray Delivery and Menu Collection:</li>\n<li>Assists with tray delivery and retrieval.</li>\n<li>Collects patient menus on assigned units.</li>\n<li>Assists patients with menu completion using hard copy menus or laptops.</li>\n<li>Performs inventory of food and supplies for assigned units. Assembles these supplies and delivers to the assigned unit.</li>\n<li>Takes temperatures of assigned refrigerators and freezers and documents as required</li>\n<li>Retail Dining Areas:</li>\n<li>Performs procedures in the retail areas according to all State and hospital guidelines, including serving, and/or portioning of food, preparing items to order, informing/directing customers as needed.</li>\n<li>Takes refrigeration temperatures, hot and cold food temperatures to assure proper storage and serving temperatures.</li>\n<li>Cleans assigned areas/equipment following institutional standards.</li>\n<li>Orders, collects and restocks food supplies in assigned areas.</li>\n<li>Displays and labels food items using menu boards and POS signage.</li>\n<li>Performs other duties as required or assigned.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma (or GED) strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and write required.</li>\n <li>Prior satisfactory work experience is desired.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Licensure/Certifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>None</li>\n</ul>",
