With a global network of laboratories, 24/7 availability, and more than 130 years of exceptional customer service, our customers receive independent inspection and testing with industry-leading customer service.</i></p><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p style=\"margin-top: 12pt;\">The <strong>Inspector I Petroleum</strong> is responsible for measuring, sampling, and reporting findings on bulk petroleum and refined products. This position will travel at least 30% of the time.</p><p><strong>Shift/Schedule:</strong> Inspector will work six consecutive days, followed by two days off, on an on call / as needed basis. This includes holidays and weekends.</p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;\">The base wage or salary range for this position is $20.00 - 25.00</span> per hour<span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;\">. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.&nbsp;<span>&nbsp;</span></span></p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures.</li><li>Able to perform by specified methodology the below duties in addition to completing the associated paperwork.<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Volume measurement, temperature measurement and sampling of commodity materials contained or conveyed in lines, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks and vessels.</li><li>Custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks and vessels.</li><li>Perform routine equipment calibration, verification and function checks.</li><li>Verify and communicate the results obtained and make the entries into the appropriate media, whether print or electronic, required to ensure the validity and traceability of the information.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide on the job assistance and receive training from more experienced inspectors.<span>&nbsp;</span></li></ul></li><li>Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport and company personnel to promote smooth exercise of duties assigned.</li><li>Monitor the availability of the supplies needed for the above processes, and to make any needs for such supplies known to the Dispatcher or Coordinator.</li><li>Organize and coordinate jobs so that services are rendered, and reports and samples are submitted in a timely manner.</li><li>Maintain work areas, records and equipment in a clean, organized and functional condition.</li></ul><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details.
