JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Blackbird Vineyards Hospitality Assistant
Position Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Reports to: Hospitality Manager
Location: Blackbird Tasting Annex, Napa, CA
_______________________________________________________________________________________
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides back of the house assistance to the hospitality team to help ensure the quality, efficiency and safety of all guest experiences and overall operations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in openings and/or closings Assist in set-up and break-down of tastings. Wash and polish glassware, utensils and all items used in tastings. Coordinate private event confirmation and set-up details as necessary. Confirm tasting appointments. Inventory, order and restock supplies. Communicate and coordinate any necessary repairs or routine maintenance. Keep scullery organized and clean.
PERSONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Energetic, reliable, dependable and team oriented. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Strong attention to service detail. Manage numerous projects/responsibilities at one time. Technology oriented. Conversant with Microsoft Outlook and Word.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed Valid CA Driver’s license Meet age requirement High school diploma
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Stoop, crouch and bend with frequency. Feel, grasp and manipulate objects as well as dexterous finger movements. Pull, push and lift objects, up to 50 lbs., from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. Stand in a stationary position for an extended period. Walk and move briskly, maneuvering through narrow spaces. Talk and hear to receive and give feedback and express safety concerns. Visual acuity to observe hospitality operations and read and type information. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
