    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>We are hiring for a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team at United Health Centers in Fresno, CA.  \n<strong>The potential candidate can look forward to a Monday-Friday schedule (8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M) along with an amazing benefits package which includes low premium benefit costs for the employee and family.</strong>\n<p> </p>\n<p>It is an exciting time to join the United Health Centers team. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties in and around buildings and grounds of the centers in order to maintain and repair the buildings, grounds, utilities systems and equipment. This could include plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical work, refrigeration, air conditioning and gardening. Services clinic building areas, moves furniture, equipment and around center departments. In addition, the Maintenance Technician may perform a variety of duties to maintain the clinic in an orderly and sanitary condition.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>General Corporate Expectations</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Attends and actively participates in all meetings (e.g., department meetings, program meetings, employee staff meetings) and other activities as required or assigned.</li>\n <li>Attends workshops/seminars as necessary to increase skills and knowledge to provide effective care, treatment, and/or leadership.Supports the overall needs of the health center by working flexible or extended hours when necessary.</li>\n <li>Supports the needs of the health center by traveling to other UHC health centers when department need dictates.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates awareness of, and compliance with, organizational mission and objective of UHC to provide health care access and support services for all members of the community.</li>\n <li>Supports their own staff development by completing the required hours of continuing education each year.</li>\n <li>Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally either verbally or in writing.</li>\n <li>Maintains confidentiality and respect for information regarding patients and other team members; abides by UHC Rules of Confidentiality and general HIPAA regulations regarding privacy.</li>\n <li>Displays a positive, professional and respectful demeanor at all times toward employees, peers, professional contacts, and patients served, maintaining a professional appearance and positive image for the health centers.</li>\n <li>Contributes to the team by promoting positive staff interaction, maintains open communication with other programs/departments.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school (GED).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Possess a valid CA driver's license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PRIOR EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires two years of experience in general maintenance and repair, preferably in a health care or other corporate environmen, preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledge of a variety of practices and procedures related to painting strongly preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels).</li>\n <li>Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to staff.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read memos, computer screens, cell phones, personnel forms and clinical and administrative documents.</li>\n <li>Must have high manual dexterity.</li>\n <li>Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The pay range for this non-exempt position starts at $25.41 an hour.
