This is a 12-month faculty position reporting to the Director of Practical Nursing.</p>\n     <p>&nbsp;</p>\n     <p><strong><u>Qualifications&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n     <p>Must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing. Must have an unencumbered RN license in Mississippi and must:&nbsp;</p>\n     <ul>\n      <li>Hold a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Have three years clinical experience working as a RN; or have two years' experience as faculty in a nursing/allied health program.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Satisfy clinical agency requirements, i.e.: background checks, immunizations, CPR, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n     </ul>\n     <p>&nbsp;</p>\n     <p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n     <ol>\n      <li>Maintain health care specific requirements such as CPR certification, TB skin tests, and criminal background checks to satisfy the requirements of affiliated clinical agencies.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Provide competent instruction in the clinical and theoretical areas of nursing.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Maintain high standards and promote excellence in education.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Participate in and contribute to the team-teaching of classroom and clinical courses and model team- enhancing behavior for students.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Serve as a role model for students in professional interaction with other health workers and with clinical facilities.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Promote positive and productive relationships with service area hospitals, clinics, business, industries, and agencies.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Assist in scheduling and confirming use of clinical sites.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Assist in scheduling curriculum content and classroom scheduling.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Maintain relationships with clinical sites and professional peers that support the reputation of the college and Practical Nursing Program.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Practice in professional development activities that support evidenced- based practice in the classroom and clinical setting.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Be prompt and punctual in reporting for work, in meeting classes, and in keeping office hours.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Collect, record, maintain, and submit accurate class records including grades, absences, withdrawal and/or class drop information to appropriate offices.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Maintain attendance records for clinical groups and for classes taught.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Provide advice to the Lead Instructor, Practical Nursing Director and the Dean of Health Sciences on matters pertaining to the instructional program.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Provide advice to the Lead Instructor and Practical Nursing Director to insure the uniformity of the Practical Nursing Program on all Campuses.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Serve on College, Division and Nursing Staff committees as needed.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Evaluate the progress of students in all classes according to instructional, divisional, departmental, and individual criteria.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Prepare or assist in the preparation of materials such as those used in academic administration when requested, including course syllabi program outlines, articulation, and bulletin materials.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Participate in scheduled in-service activities.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Promote student development through enrichment and mentoring experiences.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Serve as academic advisors and mentors.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Become familiar with institutional policies and procedures as outline in the College Bulletin, Policy Manual, Faculty Handbook, and Practical Nursing Program Student Handbook and follow such policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Perform all other professional duties as assigned by the Dean of Health Sciences, PN Director, or other administrative personnel.</li>\n     </ol>\n     <p>&nbsp;</p>\n     <p><strong>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</strong></p>\n     <ul>\n      <li>Ability to take initiative to solve problems.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Experience using technology including email, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, and Internet use.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the general public.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Ability to collaborate with others and work as part of a team.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Must be a “quick study” to quickly grasp and retain knowledge of policies and procedures relating to every aspect of student services that a prospective or current student may utilize.&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Demonstrate oral and written communication skills to interact with a wide range of diverse individuals.&nbsp;</li>\n     </ul>\n     <p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong></p>\n     <p>While performing the duties of this job, the&nbsp;Surgical Technology Instructor regularly required to do the following:</p>\n     <ul>\n      <li>Stand for long periods&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Talk, hear, view,&nbsp;and assist students&nbsp;</li>\n      <li>Effectively communicate with others in person, telephone, zoom, &amp;
