Description

Position Summary The Clinical Director provides leadership for all clinical services within the Early Intervention and Academy programs. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, ethical, evidence-based ABA services while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements. This position is responsible for driving clinical excellence, developing strong clinical teams, and using data to improve outcomes for individuals served. The Clinical Director plays a key role in aligning clinical and operational efforts to support sustainable program growth and meaningful impact. Qualifications Education & Licensure Master’s or Doctoral degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or related field BCBA certification required Active Missouri and/or Kansas LBA licensure Completion of BACB 8-hour supervision training Experience 5+ years of ABA experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role Experience in early intervention, school-based, or intensive behavioral programs preferred Proven experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams Skills & Competencies Strong clinical leadership, coaching, and team development skills Expertise in ABA practices, assessment, and behavior support planning Ability to use data to guide clinical and operational decisions Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Calm, effective leadership in crisis situations Proficiency with clinical documentation systems and Microsoft Office Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Service Delivery Oversee assessment, treatment planning, and implementation for all clients Ensure fidelity of ABA services and consistency across programs Review and approve clinical documentation and treatment plans Monitor outcomes and adjust programming based on data Participate in on-call support and crisis response Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure compliance with BACB standards, state regulations, and organizational policies Conduct audits and support regulatory readiness Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement processes Monitor clinical quality and performance metrics Staff Development & Supervision Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical staff and trainees Ensure supervision requirements are met across teams Support onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development Promote accountability, learning, and professional growth Operational & Financial Collaboration Partner with leadership across operations, education, and finance Monitor staffing, utilization, and service delivery metrics Support documentation accuracy and billing alignment Contribute to program sustainability and growth planning Family & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as a clinical resource for families and external partners Participate in intake and service planning decisions Collaborate with schools, medical providers, and community agencies Ensure coordinated, person-centered care
