    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.</li>\n <li>Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system.</li>\n <li>Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.</li>\n <li>Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.</li>\n <li>Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair drilling equipment.</li>\n <li>Provide training to other NOV Field Service Technicians.</li>\n <li>Provide accurate and timely reports to appropriate personnel regarding work progress and output.</li>\n <li>Work in repair shop when needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Microsoft Office knowledge is required.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and basic electrical drawings required.</li>\n <li>Minimum 3-5&nbsp;years&nbsp;mechanical experience required.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of rig floor equipment preferred, including Top Drives and&nbsp;Iron Rough Necks preferred</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics required</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of electrical required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.</li>\n <li>Must provide transportation from home to the office.&nbsp; Transportation to customer’s location will be provided.</li>\n <li>24/7 on-call</li>\n <li>Work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 150 feet.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a drug screen &amp; background check.</li>\n <li>Must be able to constantly walk and stand</li>\n <li>Must be able to occasionally grasp, climb, balance, crouch, crawl, kneel, reach with arms and hands.</li>\n <li>Must be able to frequently lift up to 10 pounds</li>\n <li>Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>COMPETITIVE BENEFITS:</strong>&nbsp;(visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.</span></li>\n <li><span>Competitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
