By working collaboratively with partners and continually innovating, JVH strives to be a leader in providing essential healthcare for the underserved, ensuring everyone in our community has access to quality healthcare.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The ultrasound technologist produces ultrasonic images for diagnostic and treatment purposes to be reviewed by physicians.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepares patients for ultrasound examination.</li><li>Prepares patients for physician.</li><li>Explains procedures to the patient prior to the commencement of the testing and provides patient education related to medical ultrasound.</li><li>Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum results.</li><li>Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure. Pursues professional growth and development.</li><li>Conducts ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and records anatomical, pathological and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.</li><li>Assists physician during invasive procedures requiring ultrasound guidance.</li><li>Maintains patient charts and records and records and processes sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the procedure for presentation to interpreting physician.</li><li>Code appropriate CPT and ICD10 and submit billing for services performed.</li><li>Maintains proper operation of the ultrasonic equipment and recognizes malfunctions and takes appropriate corrective action.</li><li>Maintains ultrasound rooms for optimum efficiency.</li><li>Maintains archives/records scans.</li><li>Reports preliminary findings and diagnosis to Radiologist/Perinatologist.</li><li>Is aware of the confidential nature of the clinic and works within legal responsibilities and relevant guidelines for good practice.</li><li>Uses automated computer system to access patient/client information.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits Overview:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Medical and Prescription Drug Coverage:</strong> Three comprehensive plan options (Buy-up, Base, and High Deductible) through UnitedHealthcare's Choice Plus network, covering various deductibles and out-of-pocket limits.
