Description

The Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for driving engagement and participation in teen programming through effective recruitment, relationship-building, and program delivery. This role is accountable for executing outreach strategies to attract and retain participants ages 6 to 18 while building strong connections with schools, community organizations, and local stakeholders. The Community Outreach Specialist is also responsible for mentoring youth, coordinating schedules and activities, and ensuring seamless collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Recruitment: Accountable for recruitment and outreach services to existing and potential participants Programming: Accountable for program delivery and services Mentor and engage participants in programming and services Accountable for collaborating, scheduling, and coordinating activities with schools, community partners, and other internal/external programs Community Partnerships: Maintain school district, community, and CCPD relationships as needed to meet program objectives Administrative Duties: Document all services and contacts Accountable for accurate and timely paperwork, reports, and data entry Accountable for utilizing all BGCGTC communication tools regularly and effectively Facility and Child Safety: Accountable for adherence to all organizational health and safety policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at assigned work locations Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect participants, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities Abide by facility maintenance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance Maintain discipline, de-escalate conflict between participants and/or others Obtain and renew CPR and First Aid certification by the deadline Relationships: Be a positive role model Maintain control and make good decisions under pressure Represent the Boys and Girls Club in a positive manner Attendance Regular attendance is required; arrive on time, work the required hours/shift, and leave at the scheduled time Nonessential Duties Complete all other duties as assigned
