    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Position Summary</u></strong></p><p>The Plant Director<strong> </strong>has the responsibility to drive continuous and significant improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost by developing an excellent organization, and methodically &amp; aggressively implementing a lean operating methodology based on Tecomet Business System techniques and tools.</p><p><strong><u>Principle Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Maintaining a culture where safety, quality, schedule and cost are the main focal points with a continuous improvement mentality. &nbsp;</li><li>Strategic planning for annual plans to ensure that the business complies with ISO, FDA, EPA, OSHA and all other legal requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Drive rapid, significant and sustainable improvement in SQDC&nbsp;</li><li>Provide the leadership necessary for the development and execution of a strategy that supports the overall market‐driven business strategy &nbsp;</li><li>Lead regular KPI reviews for the plant team to ensure attainment of results and a sense of urgency with respect to implementation priorities&nbsp;</li><li>Passionately drive a lean operating system mentality and culture in a highly structured and prescriptive way leading the development and implementation of the roadmap to achieve breakthrough operating performance (5S, SMED, TPM, etc.)&nbsp;</li><li>Build, coach and mentor an outstanding team, including maintaining morale at a high level&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure key operational metrics and key performance indicator systems are consistently tracking the appropriate measures and provoking appropriate responsive behavior&nbsp;</li><li>Periodically present plans and actual results&nbsp;</li><li>Continually evolve operational efficiency and assess opportunities to reduce cost, taking aggressive action to drive financial performance in the areas of direct and indirect labor, and manufacturing overhead cost, as well as inventory levels&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure effective allocation of resources across all areas of the plant to accomplish customer‐driven priorities.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate effectively with sales, marketing, design engineering, and other functional organizations&nbsp;</li><li>Partner with the broader management team to ensure the best possible product, and customer satisfaction&nbsp;</li><li>Continually benchmark best practices and drive effective implementation     &nbsp;</li><li>Facilitate resolutions for customer production concerns or problems between sales staff and plant production staff as needed.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Credentials/Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, engineering, or related field</li><li>10+ years manufacturing operations leadership experience &nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated track record of significant performance improvement through the successful development of a lean culture, and implementation of the tools. &nbsp;</li><li>Recognizes that the development and implementation of standard processes, that are part of an integrated operating management system, &nbsp;</li><li>On‐going development of a lean operating culture forms the basis for development of a sustainable competitive advantage.  &nbsp;</li><li>Strong developer of people and teams, believing it a critical component in driving organizational change and effectiveness.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Experience/Educational/Training Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>MBA is preferred.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Highly customer responsive and entrepreneurial&nbsp;</li><li>Very resourceful, combining strong manufacturing and technical abilities with good overall management acumen&nbsp;</li><li>Strong financial acumen&nbsp;</li><li>Effectively deploys resources to key priorities&nbsp;</li><li>Has, and sets, high expectations for him/herself and the organization;
