Candidate will evaluate and treat higher acuity patients in the clinic&nbsp;and infusion setting.&nbsp;This position provides opportunities to apply critical thinking and direct care to patients that would otherwise seek medical care in the ER.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"border-width:0px; font-style:normal; font-weight:400; margin:12pt 0px; padding:0px; text-decoration-color:initial; text-decoration-style:initial; text-decoration-thickness:initial\">\n <p>&nbsp;<b>Responsibilities</b>:</p>\n</div>\n<ul>\n <li>Triage, assess, document, and treat referred patients.</li>\n <li>Utilize evidence based medical practices in the delivery of all patient care.</li>\n <li>Maintains an attitude of inquiry towards medical practices and patient care outcomes</li>\n <li>Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.</li>\n <li>Infusion center coverage for reactions or urgent medical needs</li>\n <li>Other related duties as&nbsp;required i.e., telephonic follow-up with patients, review ordered labs after discharge from clinic.</li>\n</ul>\n<div style=\"border-width:0px; font-style:normal; font-weight:400; margin:12pt 0px; padding:0px; text-decoration-color:initial; text-decoration-style:initial; text-decoration-thickness:initial\">\n <p>The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only. Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.&nbsp; Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.</p>\n</div>\n<div style=\"border-width:0px; font-style:normal; font-weight:400; margin:12pt 0px; padding:0px; text-decoration-color:initial; text-decoration-style:initial; text-decoration-thickness:initial\">\n <p>&nbsp;<b>&nbsp;Qualifications:</b>&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed to practice in state of Texas.</li>\n <li>Required – Masters’ Degree in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC or AANPCP Certified for Family Nurse Practitioner.</li>\n <li>Physician Assistant: NCCPA-Certified.</li>\n <li>Current prescriptive authority.</li>\n <li>DEA license</li>\n <li>BCLS, ACLS certified</li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.</li>\n <li>1 - 3 years related working experience preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledge and ability to start vascular access and administration of medications preferred</li>\n <li>Advanced vascular access certification preferred</li>\n <li>Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8a-5p.
