They also enjoy:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Casual work attire (uniform provided)</li>\n <li>FREE admission to Carowinds and other Six Flags parks</li>\n <li>Discounts on food and retail items</li>\n <li>A fun and engaging work environment, perfect for making friends</li>\n <li>Flexible work schedule</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>This position focuses mainly on providing a safe environment for guests and associates by routinely conducting building/ground inspections to assure regulatory compliance; responds to fires and other emergencies as needed; and investigates first aid incident reports as necessary.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducts investigations on necessary first aid incidents as requested by Park Management and the First Aid Supervisor.</li>\n <li>Performs routine fire and safety inspections. Types of inspections include but are not limited to: Fire Extinguisher, Fire</li>\n <li>Prevention - Building Safety, Spill Continguency and Countermeasures (SPCC), Hazardous Waste and Bulk Storage,</li>\n <li>Personal protective equipment, etc.</li>\n <li>Performs follow-up inspections for corrective action and reports continued safety issues to the responsible department and Safety Operations / Area Manager.</li>\n <li>Responds to and assists with park emergencies, patient care, safety investigations, scene management, and to help provide guest and or associate assistance as necessary.</li>\n <li>Partners with departments to assist with creating solutions to safety concerns</li>\n <li>Assists with the regular maintenance of emergency equipment</li>\n <li>Assists First Aid staff as needed.</li>\n <li>Responds, operates and maintains emergency response vehicles and associated equipment.</li>\n <li>Conducts or assists with safety training classes when needed. Examples of classes include but are not limited to:</li>\n <li>Powered Industrial Lift Truck, Fire Drills / Fire Safety, Fire Extingusiher inspection and use, Respirator fit testing, etc.</li>\n <li>Completes and maintains timely and accurate audit and inspection documentation in an orderly and efficient manner.</li>\n <li>Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.</li>\n <li>Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.</li>\n <li>Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.</li>\n <li>Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.</li>\n <li>Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee</li>\n <li>Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to demonstrate exceptional public relations skills</li>\n <li>Ability to drive, or learn to drive, a vehicle with a manual transmission.</li>\n <li>Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office.</li>\n <li>Possess a valid and current Driver's License</li>\n <li>Possess a valid NC, SC, or NR EMT certification</li>\n <li>Maintains a current and valid AHA CPR Healthcare Provider OR MEDIC/Mecklenburg County Focused CPR Certification.</li>\n <li>Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or povincial law.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Our associates are crucial to providing guests with a variety of engaging activities that reflect and uphold our five core values of Courtesy, Service, Cleanliness, Safety, and Integrity and promote inclusion among all associates.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>",
