Kennedy Krieger Institute is seeking a <strong>Speech-Language Pathologist I</strong> to join our dynamic Special Education team and make a lasting impact in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Exciting opportunity to work with a team of supportive SLPs.  Work with elementary, high school, and transitional students (up to 21 years old) with complex communication needs and significant behavioral challenges.  Many AAC/AT learning opportunities.  Students earn certificates of completion as they work to develop functional life skills in this collaborative and specialized interdisciplinary setting.  Opportunities for growth and leadership.</p>\n<h3> What You’ll Do:</h3>\n<p>As an SLP-I, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with communication challenges by:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducting <strong>comprehensive assessments</strong> in speech, language, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing.</li>\n <li>Developing and implementing <strong>individualized intervention plans</strong> aligned with each student’s IEP.</li>\n <li>Delivering services in diverse settings including <strong>pull-out, classroom, and co-teaching formats</strong>.</li>\n <li>Collaborating with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure <strong>educational benefit</strong>.</li>\n <li>Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with <strong>MSDE, ASHA, and departmental standards</strong>.</li>\n <li>Participating in <strong>team meetings, staff development, and community outreach</strong>.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3> What You Bring:</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree in <strong>Speech-Language Pathology</strong>.</li>\n <li><strong>Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)</strong> from ASHA.</li>\n <li><strong>Maryland State Licensure</strong> (or eligibility).</li>\n <li>Experience working with children with communication disorders.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Physical & Professional Requirements:</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift/carry students and adaptive equipment as needed.</li>\n <li>Comfortable working in a school setting with potential exposure to communicable diseases.</li>\n <li>Strong <strong>organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills</strong>.</li>\n <li>Commitment to <strong>professional development</strong> and <strong>service excellence</strong>.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3> Skills That Set You Apart:</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Deep understanding of <strong>developmental communication disorders</strong>.</li>\n <li>Ability to tailor services to diverse age groups and needs.</li>\n <li>Collaborative mindset and ability to work across disciplines.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of <strong>IEP development and implementation</strong>.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Join a team that’s transforming lives through education, compassion, and innovation.<strong>Apply now</strong> to be part of a mission-driven organization where your expertise makes a difference every day.</p>\n<h2>Minimum pay range</h2>USD $37.50/Hr.\n<h2>Maximum pay range</h2>USD $51.07/Hr.",
