In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring a seamless patient experience before and after surgical procedures, delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</span></p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Monday-Friday, no weekends, holidays or on-call!<br></span></p><p data-pasted=\"true\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">The Pre-op/PACU RN will assist in providing high quality care during the pre-op and post-op phase of the patient&#39;s visit. If you&rsquo;re a dedicated RN with a passion for surgical care and patient safety, we encourage you to apply and be part of a team committed to excellence.</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Responsibilities:</span></p><ul><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Assess, instruct &amp; prepare patients prior to surgery;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Assess patients&rsquo; post-operative condition;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Monitor vital signs and other measurements of progress to ensure patient is meeting discharge criteria;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Document all findings in patient files;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Answer patient questions to ensure patient comfort;&nbsp;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Monitor patients for condition changes, report any changes to physician;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Gather pertinent medical history and provide concise instruction for pre-operative and post-operative care;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Other responsibilities as needed/assigned.</li></ul><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Qualifications:</span></p><ul><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Current unrestricted NYS RN license;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Minimum of 2 years previous PACU or critical care experience strongly preferred;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Ability to effectively communicate with providers, patients and peers;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Candidate must demonstrate aptitude for maintaining pace of abbreviated patient encounters, keeping flow to reasonable time frame in post-operative care;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Specialized knowledge, skill and abilities in perioperative nursing;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Capable of decision making when applicable.</li></ul><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">OTHER INFORMATION</span></p><ul><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Schedules are Monday through Friday; No weekends, holidays, or on-call.</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Valid driver&rsquo;s license and vehicle to travel as needed</li></ul></div></div>\n",
