Join us and be part of something extraordinary.</span></p>\n<p><span>We’re seeking a future team member for the role of <b>Senior Specialist</b> <b>Java/AI Engineer</b> to join our Enterprise Data &amp; Solutions Engineering team. This role is located in <b>Lake Mary, Florida, FL</b></span></p>\n<p><span>In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:&nbsp;</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Core Java and Spring Boot: REST controllers, dependency injection, configuration management, data access (JPA/JDBC), concurrency basics, and exception handling.</span></li>\n <li><span>Implement well-architected Java/Spring Boot microservices and APIs: build features, fix defects, and deliver production-ready code with strong testing.</span></li>\n <li><span>Apply AI-assisted coding and AI coding practices to speed up development (prompting, code suggestions, test generation), while ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability.</span></li>\n <li><span>Integrate AI features in applications (e.g., inference endpoints, prompt orchestration, RAG flows, embeddings) with guardrails, input/output validation, and auditability.</span></li>\n <li><span>Contribute to data access design and performance (RDBMS basics): write efficient queries, tune connection pools, and implement transactional integrity and error handling.</span></li>\n <li><span>Collaborate closely with tech leads and product partners to refine requirements, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals; maintain clean documentation (API contracts, ADRs, readmes).</span></li>\n <li><span>Support CI/CD pipeline tasks (builds, tests, artifacts, environment configs) and contribute to automated quality gates and release safety.</span></li>\n <li><span>Data/RDBMS fundamentals: SQL, schema/index basics, transactions/locking, query optimization, and connection pool tuning (HikariCP or similar).</span></li>\n <li><span>Middleware/integration: REST API design, JSON/Proto handling, authentication/authorization basics (OAuth2/OIDC), and resilience patterns (retry, circuit breaker).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:&nbsp;</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</span></li>\n <li><span>2–6 years of hands-on experience building production software with Java/Spring/Spring Boot.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrated use of AI-assisted coding tools and integration of AI features with responsible-use practices.</span></li>\n <li><span>Working knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle or equivalent) and secure, performant data access in services.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability.</span></li>\n <li><span>Prompt engineering for code/tests with verification steps; avoid blind acceptance of generated code.</span></li>\n <li><span>Implement guardrails for AI-enabled features (policy checks, content filters, PII safety) and robust telemetry of prompts/responses.</span></li>\n <li><span>Design deterministic wrappers around model calls (timeouts, retries, backoff, caching) and capture traceability for audit/compliance.</span></li>\n <li><span>Collaborate on evaluation harnesses for AI features (quality metrics, latency budgets, failure modes).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span>At BNY, our culture speaks for itself, check out the latest BNY news at:</span></p>\n<p><a href=\"https://www.bny.com/corporate/global/en/about-us/newsroom.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span>BNY Newsroom</span></a></p>\n<p><a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/company/bnyglobal/posts/?feedView=all\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span>BNY LinkedIn&nbsp;</span></a></p>\n<p><span>&nbsp;Here’s a few of our recent awards:&nbsp;</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>America’s Most Innovative Companies, Fortune, 2025</span></li>\n <li><span>World’s Most Admired Companies, Fortune 2025</span></li>\n <li><span>“Most Just Companies”, Just Capital and CNBC, 2025</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span>Our Benefits and Rewards:&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy.
