The right candidate for this position will be responsible for serving as a mentor/tutor for current pre-med students studying for the MCAT. Mentors will work in a variety of settings including but not limited to: working 1-on-1 with students, teaching classroom sessions, and providing exceptional care and support. </p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p>Success as a mentor is measured primarily by your commitment to the overall success of each of your students. Mentors will accomplish this vision through following company guidelines and protocols, inspiring, motivating and supporting students and collaboration with their team.<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"></span></p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Responsibilities: </span></p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Mentor individual students regularly in order for them to succeed with their MCAT preparations and goals.</li>\r\n<li>Teach key principles and strategies in classroom and individual settings. </li>\r\n<li>Attend all assigned trainings and weekly Student Progress Meetings.</li>\r\n<li>Record the weekly progress for each assigned student and submit progress to managers in a timely manner.</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate and work well with other mentors and management.<br></li>\r\n<li>Maintain consistent, regular communication with students through text, e-mail, and phone calls. </li>\r\n<li>Promote Altius, as needed at local universities including: hanging posters &amp; flyers on campus, help at pre-med fairs and Altius sponsored events, provide support and announcements for relevant clubs and science classes.<br></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Qualifications:</span></p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Qualifying score on your final MCAT exam (must be verified with a screenshot of the AAMC score report)</li>\r\n<li>Knowledge of the Altius curriculum\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Hiring priority will be given to individuals who have taken the Altius program and demonstrated strong adherence</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>Availability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Hours per week will vary depending on the student's schedules, classroom assignments, and student enrollment<br></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>Moderate computer skills, including experience with both Google Docs, Zoom, and group messaging apps<br></li>\r\n<li>Strong mastery over the topics covered on the MCAT</li>\r\n<li>Desire to find solutions and help others succeed<br></li>\r\n<li>Possess a positive attitude and be a team player<br></li>\r\n</ul>",
