We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on <em>Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives</em>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involving conventional types of plans and specifications.</li>\n <li>Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of professional work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.</li>\n <li>Review work for the application of sound professional judgment.</li>\n <li>Performs design calculations and prepares equipment or material specifications.</li>\n <li>Familiar with the AE design process and specifications leading to construction documents.</li>\n <li>Prepare graphical representations of designs</li>\n <li>Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables and supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems.</li>\n <li>May supervise or coordinate the work of designers and other technical support personnel.</li>\n <li>Experience in the design of commercial, industrial, educational, and governmental buildings, small industrial plants and warehouses, and/or central chilled water and heating plants.</li>\n <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Five+ years’ experience in electrical engineering or the equivalent thereof.</li>\n <li>Software: Proficient with MS Office software; including MS Word, Excel; AutoCAD and/or Microstation; and Building Information Management (BIM) Revit.  Experience with SKM, EasyPower, or EDSA software.</li>\n <li>Experience in lighting, power, grounding, lightning protection, signal, communication, controls and fire detection systems designs.</li>\n <li>Experience in performing design calculations and preparing equipment or material specifications</li>\n <li>Experience with all phases of project management and production</li>\n <li>Experience in budgeting, scheduling, planning facility design projects</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of applicable electrical and design codes</li>\n <li>Excellent written/verbal communication skills to peers, managers, and clients</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-track environment</li>\n <li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.</li>\n <li>Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses and Certifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Professional registration as a licensed electrical engineer preferred; PE registration in the State of New Mexico preferred.</li>\n <li>Valid NM drivers’ license required.</li>\n <li>LEED Accredited Professional certification a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>NV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>NV5 provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
