Start date is negotiable but no later than January 1, 2027. The Physical Therapy Program sits in the College of Health Professions &amp; Natural Sciences.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide direct oversight for all academic and administrative matters.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead the faculty in strategic planning and monitor the process to further the program's mission in teaching, research, service, and patient care.&nbsp;</li><li>Supervise the process of maintaining CAPTE program accreditation.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that the Physical Therapy faculty is involved with research and scholarly activity.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that the Physical Therapy facility continues to meet the educational and functional needs of the faculty, students, and staff.&nbsp;</li><li>Promotes the program and enhancing its visibility, assisting with recruiting and retaining students, and managing the day-to-day logistics of the program. The Program Director is responsible for the continuous evaluation of faculty.&nbsp;</li><li>Teaching in area of expertise.</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>A license to practice physical therapy in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain)&nbsp;</li><li>A minimum of 6 years of full-time higher education experience with a minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in a physical therapist education program</li><li>An academic doctorate degree in a related field&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with obtaining and/or maintaining CAPTE accreditation&nbsp;</li><li>Administrative experience (including program planning and implementation, personnel management, evaluation and budgeting)&nbsp;</li><li>A record of scholarship and history of teaching and service&nbsp;</li><li>Effective communication and leadership skills&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Required applicant materials include: Cover letter, curriculum vitae, 3 letters of recommendation, statement of teaching philosophy, research interests, and transcripts.
