Description

Overview Administrative Support Specialist Starting at $16.50 per hour ON-SITE The Administrative Support Specialist will provide support to the both the central business office and hospital staff by filling all records requests in regards to outstanding accounts receivables. Responsibilities Inventory, review, follow-up, and respond to all medical records and itemized bill requests as required for payment. Send out priority mail for the department and document the tracking information for our records. Compile information for patient and insurance refund packets. Communicate with facilities and/or patients regarding additional information needed for payment of claims. Document in the Medhost system all verbal and written activities relative to that account. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of customer service experience – Retail/Hospitality/Banking/Healthcare Preferred: Knowledge of indemnity insurance practices, contracts and managed care ideal. Computer Skills Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to work with multiple programs simultaneously. Good interpersonal skills including: face-to-face, verbal, electronic, and telephonic. Professional Skills: Accuracy and attention to Detail Organized Good time management skills in order to meet deadlines. Ability to multitask Ability to work independently and as part of team to reach a mutually established goals. Flexible and open to change This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management Previous experience in metrics based role, where production/quality standards are upheld.
