    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><u>Compensation &amp; Benefits:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Pay Range: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour</li><li>Medical, dental, and vision programs with 60-80% company contribution.</li><li>Long-Term and Short-Term Disability</li><li>401K with a 4% Company match.</li><li>Annual clothing allowance</li><li>Access to corporate fitness center</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Summary</u></strong></p><p>The Laborer / Utility Worker is a skilled position aiding tradespeople in various construction projects to ensure the efficient functioning of infrastructure to meet the operational needs of the customer. &nbsp;The position requires physical strength, stamina, flexibility, and the ability to work in different weather conditions. &nbsp;This operates under the supervision of a Foreman and assists in various tasks, including lifting &amp; moving heavy equipment and materials, digging trenches, and excavating areas. &nbsp;Laborers must work in collaboration with team members to accomplish project objectives. Successful candidates are eager to work and can learn &amp; grow on the job. &nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assist in setting work areas by preparing materials and tools and cleaning up by removing debris and excess materials.</li><li>Use shovels, picks, and other digging tools to locate obstructions and excavate trenches for utility lines.</li><li>Assist skilled tradespeople install pipes, cables, and other utility lines by carrying materials, holding equipment, and performing other tasks as needed.</li><li>Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.</li><li>Operate hand and power tools such as saws, rotary drills, power actuated fasteners and jackhammers to assist in construction projects and will follow safety guidelines to avoid injury.</li><li>Help lift and move heavy equipment and materials such as concrete blocks, pipes, while working safely around heavy machinery.</li><li>Assisting skilled tradespeople prepare in laying materials such as concrete and asphalt, and will assist in smoothing and leveling the materials.</li><li>Keep the job site clean and organized by sweeping, picking up debris, and properly storing tools and equipment.</li><li>Assisting in the repair and maintenance of equipment such as generators, pumps, and compressors.</li><li>Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to avoid injury and maintain a safe working environment.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by management.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Skills &amp; Abilities:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Able to work in different weather conditions such as rain, heat, and cold.</li><li>Able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.</li><li>Willing to learn new skills and follow instructions from skilled tradespeople and supervisors.</li><li>Must be reliable and punctual, showing up to work on time and consistently performing assigned tasks.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent. &nbsp;Vocational training is a plus.</li><li>Able to use small tools such as hand tools, power tools, rodder, compressor, etc.</li><li>Experience with smaller heavy equipment a plus.</li><li>Experience in physical, outdoor work environment</li><li>Physical strength and ability to lift heavy objects, often weighing 50 pounds or more.</li><li>Must be fluent in English</li><li>Standing, bending, and walking for prolonged periods.</li><li>Drivers license with reliable transportation.</li></ul><p><strong><u>About Us</u></strong></p><p>Maverick Corporation is a full-service Engineering and Construction firm working in the telecommunications, Electrical vehicle infrastructure and electrical power sectors.
