    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Retinal Regenerative Medicine Laboratory at Mayo Clinic in the Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to assist in development of a novel approach to retinal gene therapy incorporating fibrin-hydrogel encapsulated AAV vectors.&nbsp;</p><p>In this role, the candidate will be part of a team lead by Drs. Alan Marmorstein and Brittni Scruggs that is focused on translation to the clinic of a novel approach to retinal gene therapy incorporating fibrin-hydrogel encapsulated AAV vectors with the goal of submitting an IND application.&nbsp;</p><p>The successful candidate will work as part of a team dedicated to GMP process development for manufacture, storage / stability, testing, and shipping of fibrin-encapsulated AAV. This involves design, testing, and qualification of hydrogel formulation, in-process testing, and release assays, in vivo testing, as well as preparation of regulatory filings and technology transfer to external CROs/CDMOs.&nbsp;</p>",
