    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 22px; font-weight: bold;\">Early Childhood Ministry Teacher’s Aide</span><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Job Description – 2024-2025</span><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Purpose</span><br>A Teacher’s Aide for St. John’s Early Childhood Ministry (ECM) supports the day-to-day ministry of the ECM and reports<br>to the Early Childhood Director.<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Primary Responsibilities</span><br>Assist the ECM in providing a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment to support children in their spiritual,<br>physical, emotional, and intellectual development.<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Curriculum &amp; Instruction</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the lead teacher in preparing materials and supporting student learning in lessons.</li>\n<li>Assist in carrying out classroom discipline and management plans.</li>\n<li>Supervise children in learning activities and during free time, supporting and redirecting children, as needed.</li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation and sanitation of classroom areas throughout the day.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Staff &amp; Parent Relationships</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and maintain open communication and positive relationships with the parents.</li>\n<li>Build and maintain positive relationships with children.</li>\n<li>Assist in communicating with families about daily activities, updates, reports, or other news that directly<br>involves their child.</li>\n<li>Fill out Incident and Accident Reports as needed in a timely manner.</li>\n<li>Comply with St. John’s School and Early Childhood Ministry policies and standard procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Other Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in Extended Care staffing as needed.</li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation and staffing of Summer Camp.</li>\n<li>Attend staff meetings as they arise.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consistent and regular use of the means of grace in public worship, public bible study, and private use of God’s<br>word.</li>\n<li>Serve as an example for fellow believers in living a Christian life.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates a genuine love for children, respects children as individuals.</li>\n<li>Certified in First Aid and CPR.</li>\n<li>Agreement and alignment with the mission statements of St. John’s Lutheran Church &amp; School.</li>\n<li>Highly Preferred: A member in good standing of St. John’s Lutheran Church or a sister WELS congregation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Supervision</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Teacher’s Aide in the ECM reports to their assigned lead teacher, the Early Childhood Director and School Principal.<br>This job description does not imply that these may be the only duties performed.
