    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Standardized Patient at the Touro College of Pharmacy will play the role of patient for the purposes of training, teaching and/or testing students.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Act as a patient in simulated SP student encounters, training sessions, and/or other educational sessions</li>\n <li>Engage and be cooperative when being interviewed and/or examined by a student pharmacist</li>\n <li>Work in a professional manner when interacting with learners, faculty, supervisors, and peers</li>\n <li>Be highly dependable and punctual</li>\n <li>Demonstrate flexibility and reliability with scheduling and assignments</li>\n <li>Follow written and verbal instruction</li>\n <li>Provide constructive feedback to student pharmacist and colleagues</li>\n <li>Perform as patient, caregiver, family member, prescriber, nurse, or other role as designated</li>\n <li>Simulate all aspects of scenarios, including history of current problem, affect/behavior and physical findings, in a standardized, accurate, and reliable manner</li>\n <li>Accept ongoing feedback from facilitators and incorporate into case simulation</li>\n <li>Be willing to be audio and videotaped during simulations</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h4>Education/Experience</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</h4>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal).</li>\n <li>Acting credentials preferred especially as a standardized patient with medical, pharmacy, or other health programs</li>\n <li>Ability to read and memorize a script.</li>\n <li>Must possess strong communication skills, both written and spoken.</li>\n <li>Must have strong reading and writing skills, to absorb and use the detailed case training and exam procedural information.</li>\n <li>Must be comfortable having repeated physical examination maneuvers performed on self</li>\n <li>Ability to accurately portray the person and role described in the script.</li>\n <li>Ability to assess and evaluate students using a provided evaluation form.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $28.00/Hr.\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $22.40/Hr.",
