This role will focus on helping local governments across Louisiana improve operational compliance, financial transparency, and internal controls.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident working independently or as part of a team. A CPA (preferred) or CIA credential is required, with at least one year of professional-level experience beyond entry-level audit or advisory roles.</p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support local governments with compliance and operational improvement efforts</li>\n <li>Document and evaluate internal controls; provide practical solutions</li>\n <li>Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders</li>\n <li>Assist with specialized projects</li>\n <li>Respond to inquiries from local officials and CPAs</li>\n <li>Contribute to state-level initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Conduct fieldwork, interviews, and site visits (some in-state travel required)</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>CPA (preferred) or CIA certification</li>\n <li>Minimum 1 year experience as a Staff II or equivalent in accounting, auditing, or advisory roles</li>\n <li>Knowledge of governmental accounting standards (GASB, AICPA) and non-profit accounting (FASB)</li>\n <li>Strong communication, research, analytical, and organizational skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with peers and management</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard software tools</li>\n</ul>",
