This role is essential in maintaining the smooth flow of operations within the recycling division and ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role is based out of Saskatoon/Saskatchewan within our Metals Division and preference will be given to local drivers<strong>.</strong></p>\n<h2>The Team</h2>\n<p>The SECURE Metals & Mining team is a group of experienced professionals dedicated to providing innovative and reliable scrap metal recycling services. With a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction, our team operates across strategically located facilities in Western Canada, offering a full range of services from recycling and clean-up to demolition and surplus scrap metal marketing.</p>\n<h2>Work Environment</h2>\n<p>This is a Monday to Friday, full-time position.</p>\n<h2>A Day in The Life</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times</li>\n <li>Skillfully handle and maneuver different types of vehicles and equipment, ensuring their safe operation during loading, transit, and unloading activities</li>\n <li>Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by SECURE Energy and customer sites to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents</li>\n <li>Accurately position and secure waste bins in designated areas, ensuring they are recorded and tracked correctly using the provided tracking system</li>\n <li>Conduct thorough inspections of all transported materials to verify they match the accompanying documentation and comply with safety and regulatory standards</li>\n <li>Be prepared to maintain a regular weekday schedule while also being available for additional hours as needed to meet operational demands</li>\n <li>Maintain clear and regular communication with the dispatch team to optimize routes, meet customer requirements, and enhance overall operational efficiency</li>\n <li>Support various operational tasks at the recycling facility as required, including helping with equipment maintenance, organizing materials, and ensuring the overall smooth running of facility processes</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience & Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid <strong>Class 1</strong> driver's license with a clean driving record.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 3 years driving experience in the transportation industry or demonstrated competency.</li>\n <li>Solid knowledge base with respect to Hours of Service, Load Securement, and Driving Regulations.</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of Canadian geography, highway systems, and rules.</li>\n <li>Heavy equipment operating experience is required.</li>\n <li>Experience operating various types of transportation equipment, such as flatbeds, tankers, and heavy-duty trucks.</li>\n <li>Lowbed experience would be considered a strong asset.</li>\n <li>Self-loader experience would be considered a strong asset.</li>\n <li>Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, dispatchers, and team members.</li>\n <li>Excellent time management and organizational skills to plan routes and meet delivery schedules.</li>\n <li>Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks and to perform vehicle inspections.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.</li>\n <li>Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and following all company protocols.</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills for completing electronic logs and documentation.</li>\n <li>Ability to adapt to changing road conditions and weather situations while maintaining safety.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of waste management and recycling industry practices is a plus.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges during transport.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What's in it for you</h2>\n<p>At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
