    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Essential Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<ol>\n <li>Ensures that each patient receives the best nutritional care possible within the dietary restrictions for the nature of that disease state.</li>\n <li>Charts appropriately in the record of each patient identified to be at nutritional risk.</li>\n <li>Performs Physician Ordered Diet Instructions and Nutritional Screenings for therapeutic diets, utilizing approved instruction materials and methods.</li>\n <li>Calculates diabetic, renal and other therapeutic diets and suggest changes in meal patterns as necessary.</li>\n <li>Calculates all enteral and parenteral nutrition, calorie counts and provides documentation in the electronic&nbsp;medical record.</li>\n <li>Develops and updates nutrition education materials.</li>\n <li>Develops skills of other clinical staff through in services.</li>\n <li>Submits reports to the Director on a pre-determined basis concerning Q.A. studies and other information requested.</li>\n <li>Maintains current registration through continuing education.</li>\n <li>Responsible for all Cardiology patients including teaching the Heart Healthy Class for the Cardiac Rehab outpatient unit.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><strong>Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:</strong></p>\n<ol>\n <li>Updates and revises all Food Service manuals as necessary.</li>\n <li>Plans the work flow and develops job procedures for the Clinical Supportive Staff.</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Serves as a resource person in aspects of nutritional care.</li>\n <li>Serves on committees as requested.</li>\n</ol>",
