Operation and equipment knowledge at a well-developed level is required.  Safely drive and operate vehicles while following DOT regulations. This position requires substantial weekly travel to any of the states in which we operate.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Duties &amp; Responsibilities</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operates Railroad Construction Equipment including Spiker, Spike Puller, Pettibone, Prentice, Backhoe (in railroad construction environment).</li>\n<li>Demonstrate experienced operation and equipment knowledge.</li>\n<li>Performs preventative maintenance on heavy or specialized equipment.</li>\n<li>May assist with supervision of small crew as necessary.</li>\n<li>Maintains proper equipment appearance and cleanliness.</li>\n<li>May perform labor duties as needed.</li>\n<li>Communicates with supervisor throughout the job process.</li>\n<li>Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot simple mechanical failures.</li>\n<li>Practices safe working habits.</li>\n<li>Ensures working conditions are safe and that proper PPE is being used as job duties require.</li>\n<li>Safely drive, operate, and maintain CDL required vehicles and equipment.</li>\n<li>Follow DOT regulations; ensuring proper permits and driving regulations are followed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Physical Requirements:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Mobility to participate in frequent travel to and from the project location; ability to operate heavy equipment; lifting of up to 100 pounds in the performance of duties.
