          "text": "<p>Versant Media’s Data Platforms team is the central data store across the enterprise. We unify disparate systems into a secure, well-governed, real-time data environment that powers downstream products, analytics, and content delivery experiences.</p><p>We are seeking a Platform Engineer to contribute to the development of backend services and core platform components that power our data platform. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building scalable systems, improving developer workflows, and growing into broader platform ownership over time.</p><p>This is a hands-on engineering role for someone early in their career who is building a strong foundation in software engineering while developing expertise in platform systems, infrastructure, and operational tooling.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript</li><li>Support development of modular, service-oriented architecture for data ingestion, transformation, and access</li><li>Help ensure platform services integrate with:<ul><li>data contracts and schema validation</li><li>metadata, lineage, and governance systems</li></ul></li><li>Write clean, testable code with emphasis on unit and integration testing</li></ul><ul><li>Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows</li><li>Participate in design and code reviews, learning and applying engineering best practices</li><li>Debug and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments</li><li>Collaborate with engineers across platform, data, and governance teams</li></ul>",
