Our mission is to offer a safe, reliable, and enjoyable ferry experience for passengers transiting the Long Island Sound barrier.</p>\n<p>BPPJ Ferry is seeking highly qualified individuals to serve as a Snack Bar Attendant. &nbsp;Duties and responsibilities are below:&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Snack Bar Attendant</p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:</strong></p>\n<p>The Snack Bar Attendant is directly responsible and accountable to the Snack Bar Manager.</p>\n<p><strong>Supervises:</strong></p>\n<p>None</p>\n<p><strong>Description of Duties:</strong></p>\n<p>The Snack Bar Attendant is responsible for positive guest interactions while taking orders, serving, and handling transactions in a friendly and efficient manner at the Bridgeport Terminal Snack Bar.</p>\n<p>Communicates with guests to take food and beverage orders.</p>\n<p>Prepares customer food and beverage orders.</p>\n<p>Provides outstanding customer service and engage in suggestive selling.</p>\n<p>Maintains equipment, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots breakdowns and/or call for repairs.</p>\n<p>Performs cash-handling functions, including point-of-sale (POS) system, registers, and daily reporting.</p>\n<p>Ensures F&amp;B outlet adheres to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and</p>\n<p>services.</p>\n<p>Ensures the daily operation of the retail outlet adheres to operating procedure</p>\n<p>guidelines and completes daily check list.</p>\n<p>Ensure all items are stored properly to prevent spoiling.</p>\n<p>Prepare food according to portion sizes; prepare and present food in an acceptable manner.</p>\n<p>Balance cash receipts.</p>\n<p>Perform other duties as assigned</p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>HS diploma or equivalent</p>\n<p>Valid TWIC Card or must have completed the enrollment process with TSA</p>\n<p><strong>Salary:</strong></p>\n<p>$17.00 an hour</p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>Ability to operate a point-of-sale system, telephones and standard office equipment.</p>\n<p>Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.</p>\n<p>Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time</p>\n<p><strong>FLSA Status:</strong></p>\n<p>Non - Exempt</p>\n<p>*This position description does not promise or imply that the functions listed are the only duties to be performed or that the position may not change or be eliminated.
