Maintains sensitivity to children’s individuality and responds to those needs appropriately and quickly by guiding the behavior of children in positive, effective ways.&nbsp; Maintains the highest level of professionalism at all times. Encourage experimentation, exploration, problem solving, cooperation, socialization to promote further learning and thinking.&nbsp; Prepare the classroom environment and materials to support developmentally appropriate curriculum plans and learning experiences.&nbsp;Assess individual and group needs, attending to specific interests, strengths and concerns.&nbsp; Coordinate with ECAT when indicated, developing a collaborative approach that benefits all children in the classroom.&nbsp; Monitor and report child abuse.&nbsp; Attend and participate in trainings and appropriate professional development activities.&nbsp; Attend and participate in meetings. Equally shared cleaning and sanitizing responsibility with ECAT. Engage in ongoing self-assessment about job performance.&nbsp; Follow State Licensing Regulation, Health Department and Fire Marshal Standards.&nbsp;</span></span></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:.0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Tahoma&quot;,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;\"><strong>KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE</strong>: Demonstrates knowledge and practical application of priciples of childhood growth and development. Miniumum 2 years experience in a licensed child care facility.&nbsp; Ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory in daily activities, and adapt to the indivdual needs of children.&nbsp; Significant decision and problem solving abilities.&nbsp;Ability to work as a team member collaborating with staff, families and community resources.&nbsp; Ability to maintain respectful relations and communication with staff, families, children and community.&nbsp; Ability to supervise children and ensure a safe environment.&nbsp; Ability to respond to events happening at all times in classroom, and outdoor play areas.&nbsp;</span></span></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:.0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Tahoma&quot;,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;\"><strong>EDUCATION</strong>: Child Development Associate Certificate or College Degree preferred and 2 years’ experience in a licensed child care facility.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></p><p style=\"line-height:normal;margin-bottom:.0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Tahoma&quot;,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;\"><strong>LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY</strong>: American Heart Association; Heart Saver CPR and First Aid certification required to be completed in first 30 days of employment and to be kept current thereafter.
