It was elevated as a University in January 2017 and offers its own degree programmes in the fields of Accounting &amp; Finance, Business &amp; Management, Economics &amp; Development Studies, and Information Technology.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Today, we are one of the largest business schools in the country and continue to grow into the future. These successes are the fruits of our dedicated team members’ commitment to making a difference in Papua New Guinea through their efforts in helping educate fellow citizens.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The University has been affiliated with the Southern Cross University (SCU) of Australia since 1999 and offers its degree programmes in Accounting, Business, and Information Technology. The affiliation with Southern Cross University has made IBS the first and only Institution to offer internationally recognised Bachelor programmes face-to-face in Papua New Guinea</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We strive to be the pioneer institution for business education in PNG. Some of our accomplishments to date are listed below:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only educational Institution to operate a Career Centre.</li>\n<li>Only the organisation has a “Centre of Excellence” for Leadership &amp; Management Development.</li>\n<li>Only private University established as per the decision of NEC and Gazettal.</li>\n<li>Only private Institution to hold the status of “Study Centre – for the University of Papua New Guinea.” Till 2016, for 22 years.</li>\n<li>Examination Centre for the majority of Australian &amp; NZ Universities.</li>\n<li>Test Centre for ICDL, CISCO, Pearson VUE &amp; Prometric.</li>\n<li>Established partnerships with Oracle Academy, Red Hat Academy, and the All-India Management Association (AIMA), among others.</li>\n<li>To bridge the gap between academia and industry, facilitated Memoranda of Understanding with organisations such as BSP, Telikom, CPL, Vodafone, Women’s Micro Bank, Theodist, Barlow Industries, and CEFI.</li>\n<li>First, publish bi-annual Journal of Business &amp; Research in Papua New Guinea.</li>\n<li>Accredited professional bodies in PNG &amp; Australia and ISO 9001:2015 certified University.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As a private tertiary institution, our survival and growth depend heavily on high-quality teaching, learning, and impactful research that strengthens our reputation and attracts students and partners. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Summary:</span><br></p>\n<p>The Security Coordinator is responsible for making sure the campus is safe and secure for everyone. The ideal candidate must be able to plan and organize security activities, supervise security staff, and handle any security issues that happen on campus. The person must be ready to work anytime, day or night, and stay alert at all times.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Main Duties:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create security plans and procedures to keep students, staff, and visitors safe.</li>\n<li>Supervise security guards and ensure they follow rules and perform their duties well.</li>\n<li>Monitor the campus area using security cameras and patrols.</li>\n<li>Respond quickly to any security problems or emergencies, anytime of the day or night.</li>\n<li>Keep records of security activities and incidents.</li>\n<li>Work with campus management to improve safety procedures.</li>\n<li>Educate staff and students about safety rules and emergency procedures.</li>\n<li>Report any security concerns to the management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n<li>Must be a former member of the defense forces, police, or have experience working in security firms.</li>\n<li>Able to be on call at any time of the day or night.</li>\n<li>Good communication and leadership skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to stay calm and alert during emergencies and at night.</li>\n<li>Honest, responsible, and alert.</li>\n<li>Can speak, read and write in English and Tok Pidgin</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Hours:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time, with shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Who Can Apply:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>People with security experience, especially from defense, police, or security companies, who are ready to be on call anytime.</li>\n</ul>",
