This position assists in the design, build, and commissioning of equipment by preparing technical documentation in accordance with sales proposals, performance requirements, and client specifications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>website www.envirocare.com</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Responsibilities Will Be</strong></p>\n<p>Major responsibilities of the position are listed below.  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be trained to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.  Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and layout of custom systems for approval; makes changes as necessary</li>\n <li>Perform equipment selection and design of instrumentation and control packages</li>\n <li>Interface with the Project Engineer to review P&ID’s, process control narratives, and instrument lists</li>\n <li>Prepare I/O lists</li>\n <li>Prepare specifications and associated bid documents including cost estimates and project schedules</li>\n <li>Analyze project needs, schedule, quality issues, and other factors to ensure cost effective results and anticipate/react to potential schedule delays</li>\n <li>Interface with Control Panel fabricators and approve revisions and as built drawings of Control Panels</li>\n <li>Interface with customers and sales representatives answering questions related to design and performance matters.</li>\n <li>Inspect the final product against project specifications </li>\n <li>Interface with Field Service Technicians on analyzing field problems and offering solutions</li>\n <li>Experience with pump/fan curves and designs, to properly specify and program VSD/VFDs in each system and troubleshoot the equipment if not running according to the curve</li>\n <li>Design single-line diagrams, panel layout, and control panel schematics for customers to be fabricated by panel shop</li>\n <li>Ladder Logic or Function Block programming (Siemens, Rockwell Automation, GE, Modicon)</li>\n <li>HMI programming (Siemens, Rockwell, Proface, etc...is desired but not required)</li>\n <li>Ability to identify and troubleshoot wiring issues in the control panel in the field and rectify without additional assistance</li>\n <li>Make modifications to the PLC/HMI program at customer request on site along with field modifications to the control panel</li>\n <li>Recommend design improvements and cost savings opportunities</li>\n <li>Support the sales team in identifying equipment options and selections during the quotation process and assist field representatives and customers as necessary</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering (EE or ECE preferred) from an accredited program.</li>\n <li>10-15+ years’ experience designing and implementing control systems for OEM equipment, preferred </li>\n <li>Experience designing control panels based on both relay and PLC control logic.</li>\n <li>Experience writing PLC control logic (Siemens, Rockwell Automation, GE, Modicon).</li>\n <li>Knowledge of plant process control and monitoring.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of related codes and standards, including NEC and NFPA.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in technical writing required.</li>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively within a creative, professional, team environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Incumbents are expected to travel as needed to support assigned business lines(s) and must have the ability to travel across borders. </li>\n <li>Occasional Field work may be necessary and is conducted in Industrial plant and/or construction environments.</li>\n <li>Required to have a valid driver license. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Specific experience with burner controllers and safeties (Honeywell 7800, Siemens LMV5, Allen Bradley, Modicon, etc).</li>\n <li>Knowledge of NFPA 86 up to and including the 2023 edition, particularly regarding burner safeties including pre-ignition purge and related interlocks.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding of UL508A and capable of acting as UL 508A Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR)</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience designing control logic for safety PLCs in a heavy industrial setting.</li>\n <li>Experience in operating and controlling equipment such as pumps, fans, control valves, instrumentation, and associated PID control systems.</li>\n <li>Experience reading and reviewing electrical schematics generated by EPLAN or AutoCAD.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirements (Requirement): Travel required - </strong>The ability to travel domestically and internationally when necessary (up to 30%).</p>\n<p><strong>ADA Requirements</strong>Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.</li>\n <li>The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job. </li>\n <li>Compliance with company attendance standards. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
