To learn more about what we offer, please refer to UW’s <a href=\"https://www.uwyo.edu/hr/_files/docs/employee-benefits/benefit-summary.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><u>Benefits Summary</u></a>.&nbsp;</p>\n  </div>\n </div>\n <p><strong>JOB TITLE:&nbsp;</strong> &nbsp;Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner</p>\n <p><strong>JOB PURPOSE:&nbsp;</strong> Provide psychiatric and mental health services to clinic patients at UW Family Medicine Clinic located in Cheyenne, Wyoming.</p>\n <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Assessment and management of health and illness states.&nbsp; To do this, the clinician obtains and documents a relevant health history, performs a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, and diagnoses psychiatric disorders.&nbsp; The clinician then develops a treatment plan for mental health problems and psychiatric disorders based on biopsychosocial theories, evidence-based standards of care, and practice guidelines.&nbsp; Psychotropic and related medications are prescribed based on clinical indicators of a patient’s status, including results of diagnostic and lab tests as appropriate, to treat symptoms of psychiatric disorders and improve functional health status.</li>\n  <li>Coordinate referrals and ongoing access to primary and other health care services for patients.</li>\n  <li>Provide consultation to and seek consultation from other health care clinicians to enhance quality and cost effective services for patients.</li>\n  <li>Maintain patient's electronic medical record and accurately document each patient encounter.</li>\n </ul>\n <p><strong>SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Participate in medical staff meetings; maintenance and promotion of accreditation standards; guidance to support staff; collaborate with colleagues to provide integrated health within the clinic structure.</li>\n </ul>\n <p><strong>WORK LOCATION:</strong></p>\n <p>This position provides vital support to clinic patients and requires the successful candidate be available to work onsite at the UW Family Medicine Clinic located in Cheyenne, Wyoming.</p>\n <div>\n  <div>\n   <p><strong>WORK AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENTS</strong>:</p>\n  </div>\n  <p>The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.
