Outtake exists to empower and facilitate trust for a digital-first world. Today, impersonation, fraud, AI-driven scams, and identity abuse spread faster than any security team can respond to. So we built something different: an agentic AI platform that proactively detects, monitors and takes down impersonators and automates protection in hours, not weeks. Built by ex-Palantir, ex-CTO/founders, and ex-Notion engineers, Outtake is designed for clarity, autonomy, and velocity. Our goal is ambitious: become the trust layer of the modern internet. And we intend to do it with a lean, dense, exceptionally talented team. About You Engineering at Outtake is built on ownership, clarity, and end-to-end impact. We hire entrepreneurial generalists who think in systems, not tickets — people who want to design architecture, ship fast, and solve problems that span the entire stack. What we're looking for When the life-support systems on your Mars habitat begin to fail, are you the engineer the team trusts to hack together a solution in hours? What you’ll need to bring Proven track record of execution: 2+ years experience as software engineer building world class products. Thoughtful problem solver: You approach problems holistically, starting with a clear and accurate understanding of the context. You think critically about the implications of your decisions, and are able to consider both the business and the technical tradeoffs of your solutions. Not ideological about technology: To you, technologies are about tradeoffs. You may be opinionated, but you’re not ideological, can learn new technologies and are receptive to new ideas. Organized and self-sufficient: You are comfortable managing yourself, navigate ambiguity and finding ways to create impact. Owner of your mission: You are a owner of the products that you create, meaning you take pride in the quality, maintenance and understandability of the products you build and the code you write. Bonus points if… You have experience working in a high growth early stage startup. You have experience building agents, or fine-tuning LLMs to accomplish complex tasks. You have experience in building large scale content indexing systems. You’ve built apps or are familiar with our stack - NextJS, React, Typescript, tRPC, Vercel, Postgres.
