    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><b>PRIMARY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBLITIES</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Review applications to understand technical requirements and recommend appropriate products that meet or exceed technical requirements.</li>\n <li>As a technical contact, assure that product applications do not exceed design and performance specifications for the product.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Perform engineering calculations and present results including pipe properties, design verifications, flow mechanics and pipe sizing.</li>\n <li>Review industry specifications and check compliance as per project requirements.</li>\n <li>Provide engineering support for internal and external customers including Sales, Field Service, Distributors, and End Users.</li>\n <li>Prepare technical packages for tenders and organize the technical tender documents.&nbsp; This includes exceptions and clarifications to the tender specifications.</li>\n <li>Provide technical training and presentations to employees, distributors, and customers.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain technical information in product literature, assuring published parameters are commensurate with ongoing QC test results and manufacturing practices.</li>\n <li>Visit job sites to resolve technical issues with design, installation and field failures and to develop a working relationship with customers’ key technical staff.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Prepare technical reports.</li>\n <li>Analyze product issues and field incidents.</li>\n <li>Develop, verify, and implement product design and manufacturing solutions to satisfy a variety of market requirements.</li>\n <li>Participate “hands on” in lab and manufacturing environment.</li>\n <li>Participate in product testing and qualification as per industry standards.</li>\n <li>Design and draft models and drawings for the machine shop, providing technical support as needed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Dependability/Attendance</li>\n <li>Problem Solving/Judgement</li>\n <li>Thoroughness&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Adaptability/Decisiveness</li>\n <li>Initiative/Perseverance</li>\n <li>Interpersonal Skills&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Organizational Skills</li>\n <li>Decision-maker</li>\n <li>Customer service-oriented Communication</li>\n <li>Proficiency in English</li>\n <li>Excellent oral &amp; written language skills</li>\n <li>Available for overnight &amp; international travel</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE &amp; TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university</li>\n <li>0 to 3 years of experience related to oilfield and / or piping &amp; pipelines.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Familiarity with nonmetallic/composite product design is preferred.</li>\n <li>Possess technical aptitude and ability to understand engineering, design and product performance issues.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to solve practical problems.</li>\n <li>Adequate verbal, written and analytical skills with a professional and helpful demeanor.</li>\n <li>Computer literacy using Microsoft Office Suite, Mathcad, Autodesk Inventor/Solid Works or similar modelling software.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i>NOV offers a competitive benefits package, starting the first date of employment that includes: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K savings plan, paid time-off, starting with 3 weeks of vacation!
