    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;\"><strong>Position Title</strong>: Grounds Technician</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;\"><strong>Division</strong>: Operations</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;\"><strong>Reports To</strong>: Maintenance Foreman</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;\"><strong>FLSA Status</strong>: Non-Exempt</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;\"><strong>Salary Schedule</strong>: MI or MII</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;\"><strong>Work Days</strong>:&nbsp; 244</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties</strong>:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Take direction from Grounds Crew Lead and accurately complete all assigned work in a timely manner.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Promote good relations and display a positive image with customers, the public, and peers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Complete and submit all paperwork as required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Maintain the proper parts inventory on the district vehicle to meet the majority of assigned maintenance work requests.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Take proper care of, and maintain, district vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position, as well as to ensure maximum usage.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Plan, stage, and complete the cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and installation of all types of equipment assigned to the trade.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Initiate and complete assigned projects in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Immediately report any issues that may have an impact on school or employee safety.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type:disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Must possess the qualifications required to hold an MI or MII classification; 0-5 years of applicable and verifiable work experience in grounds maintenance.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">High school diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE), preferred for MI, and required for MII classifications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Must hold a valid State of Georgia driver’s license with no more than eight (8) points against the license over the last seven years.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Ability to be present at the physical worksite.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and sitting.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 75 pounds,&nbsp;<span> </span>and negotiating stairs and ladders.</li><li style=\"margin-left:.5in;\">Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
