The successful candidate will be responsible for managing server infrastructure, operating systems, storage platforms, virtualization technologies, cloud services, and enterprise systems that support mission-critical research and business operations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in systems administration, infrastructure support, troubleshooting, Administration</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows and Linux server environments.</li>\n   <li>Perform operating system upgrades, patch management, and system hardening activities.</li>\n   <li>Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.</li>\n   <li>Troubleshoot and resolve server, application, and infrastructure-related issues.</li>\n   <li>Maintain system documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.</li>\n  </ul><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Infrastructure Operations</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Support enterprise infrastructure including servers, storage, virtualization, backup, and recovery solutions.</li>\n   <li>Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related enterprise services.</li>\n   <li>Support VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.</li>\n   <li>Monitor infrastructure health and proactively address performance concerns.</li>\n   <li>Coordinate infrastructure maintenance activities and planned outages.</li>\n  </ul><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Cloud & Modernization Support</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Support cloud-based infrastructure environments including Microsoft Azure and AWS.</li>\n   <li>Assist with cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.</li>\n   <li>Implement infrastructure best practices for security, performance, and reliability.</li>\n   <li>Support hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.</li>\n  </ul><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Security & Compliance</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Implement and maintain security configurations and access controls.</li>\n   <li>Support vulnerability remediation and system hardening activities.</li>\n   <li>Assist with audits, security assessments, and compliance reviews.</li>\n   <li>Ensure systems comply with NIH and federal security requirements.</li>\n   <li>Support continuous monitoring and operational security initiatives.</li>\n  </ul><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Incident & Problem Management</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Respond to infrastructure incidents and service interruptions.</li>\n   <li>Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.</li>\n   <li>Participate in on-call support rotations as required.</li>\n   <li>Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to resolve complex issues.</li>\n  </ul><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Documentation & Reporting</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system diagrams.</li>\n   <li>Provide status updates and operational reports.</li>\n   <li>Document infrastructure changes and configuration updates.</li>\n   <li>Support knowledge management and process improvement initiatives.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.</li>\n <li>5–8 years of experience administering enterprise infrastructure environments.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.</li>\n <li>Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise identity services.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.</li>\n <li>Experience with enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation.</li>\n <li>Candidates must possess the following certifications:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent Microsoft certification</li>\n   <li>VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent virtualization certification</li>\n   <li>CompTIA Security+</li>\n   <li>ITIL Foundation</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Preferred Experience\n  <ul>\n   <li>Experience supporting NIH, HHS, or other federal civilian agencies.</li>\n   <li>Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).</li>\n   <li>Experience supporting enterprise monitoring tools and automation platforms.</li>\n   <li>Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.</li>\n   <li>Experience supporting biomedical research, scientific computing, or healthcare IT environments.</li>\n   <li>Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, and
