CONFLICT RESOLUTION GUARD $27 hourly Are you passionate about Public Safety and seeking the opportunity to join a team of Security Professionals? A.S.P. Incorporated has provided security and customer service solutions for over 20 years to Canadian clients. We employ over 1000 employees and are a subsidiary of ICTS EUROPE, operating in 22 countries and employing more than 17,000 professionals. A.S.P provides services to some of Canada's largest airports and also has a significant presence in Commercial and Residential spaces in Ontario Manitoba A.S.P. is looking for Conflict Resolution Guards who can provide a highly visible, advanced-level security specialist service in a professional, competent, and courteous manner. Successful applicants must work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for the security and safety of the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. What you will do: Patrol the Passenger Terminal Building on both the public and restricted sides; Patrol PortsToronto facilities including but not limited to the tunnel and ferry terminals; Patrol the airport perimeter (foot and vehicle) security barrier (external & internal) and report any deficiencies of security barrier to the Airport Operations Communication Center; Patrol the groundside curb, parking lots and grounds around the airport; Respond to calls for assistance from employees or at the direction of the Airport Operations Communication Center; Carry and use Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) equipment as required; Complete appropriate reports and or daily logs on all incidents, security infractions, deficiencies, or other irregularities noted during patrols; Escort unauthorized persons out of the Restricted Area or off the premises if found therein; Conduct general airside escorts as requested; Provide assistance to emergency response personnel; Provide assistance to the public, i.e., general information, directions, etc.; Crowd control and maintenance of public order within the Airport; Verification of airport restricted area passes utilizing mobile card reader; Assist Traffic Control personnel during peak times; Conduct AVOP and RAIC enforcement; Carry and operate portable radios to communicate with each other and the Airport Operations Communication Center other responders; and Any other duties as assigned. Who you are: Minimum of five (5) years experience within North American security industry and experience in a related security function Minimum of two (2) year experience in Aviation security an asset. Graduate from a recognized community college in thee field of law enforcement, security administration or related field, including justice studies, social service, mental health and/or healthcare an asset. Physical training and attributes with hands on experience with making or assisting arrests. Eligible to work in Canada. Strong communication and observation skills, including report writing. Ability to work in high stress environment. Ability to make quick and informed decisions. Licensed by the Province of Ontario as a registered Security Guard and must maintain the license for the duration of employment. A valid G driver’s license with a clear driver’s abstract. Ability to obtain an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP-D) and maintain it as a mandatory requirement. Ability to obtain a Restricted Access Identification Card (RAIC) and maintain it as a mandatory requirement. Standard First Aid, Use of Force training, CPR and AED certifications Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, Codes and legislation, including the Criminal Code, the PSISA, the Trespass to Property Act, Fire Code, AODA, and WHMIS.
