As a Part Time Grand Café Lead Barista at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will supervise the other baristas on duty, assist taking orders and crafting drinks with a friendly smile and swift precision when pace picks up. Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets. We are a longstanding symbol of home and family, rooted in tradition and eager to shape a brighter future together. What will you be doing? Supervise staff in the manager's absence and train new team members. Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers, preparing beverages to standard. Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area. Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products. Ascertain guest satisfaction; in the event of dissatisfaction, tactfully negotiate an accommodation. Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, cash drawer and house bank management. Balance house bank at the end of the shift. Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard outlet cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards. What we are looking for: Previous Barista experience is required. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure. Must be able to learn all menu items and up-selling techniques. Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, count total bank, prepare cash drops, and total all other charges. Ability to effectively resolve conflict situations, such as inaccurate check total. Ability to read and speak English sufficient to understand menus and special promotions, and communicate with guests.
