    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>United Community </strong>is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused <strong>Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant. </strong>As a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant, you will support our Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) or Sales Manager. In this role, you will help move prospective clients through the loan process by providing sales support, loan coordination, document collection, customer service, and end‑to‑end follow‑through. Your work will directly increase MLO productivity and contribute to an exceptional borrower experience.</p>\n<h2>What You’ll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor loan files and ensure efficient, accurate processing through closing</li>\n <li>Organize and track active loans as directed by the MLO</li>\n <li>Obtain borrower applications and assist with pre‑qualification</li>\n <li>Deliver superior customer service to borrowers and partners</li>\n <li>Complete and review required forms; collect documentation and fees</li>\n <li>Submit files to underwriting and ensure compliance and accuracy</li>\n <li>Manage inbound calls for the MLO and ensure professional communication</li>\n <li>Maintain the MLO database and coordinate submissions to processing and closing</li>\n <li>Assist with pricing scenarios and rate locks</li>\n <li>Provide loan status updates to borrowers and maintain pipeline visibility</li>\n <li>Learn and utilize internal mortgage technology and loan systems</li>\n <li>Maintain strong working knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, and other mortgage programs</li>\n <li>Follow all federal and state lending compliance guidelines</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements For Success</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>2+ years of experience as a loan coordinator, loan originator assistant, or processor</li>\n <li>Active NMLS license</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office</li>\n <li>Strong internet research skills and comfort using online tools</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree</li>\n <li>Experience with Encompass and Mortgage Returns</li>\n <li>Knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, and other current mortgage loan products</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Conditions of Employment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to pass a criminal background & credit check</li>\n <li>This is a full-time, non-remote position</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>FLSA Status: </strong>Non-Exempt</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Ready to take your career to the next level?
