Successful candidates must be comfortable working with multiple clients both virtually and on-site. The Controller will interact with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees on a regular basis.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non-profit clients. Your responsibilities would include: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Transforming nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission! </li>\n <li>Financial reporting for management and Board decision making and presentations </li>\n <li>Recommending and implementing improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures, supporting client strategy and best practices </li>\n <li>Transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), and payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and maintaining workpapers </li>\n <li>Analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting </li>\n <li>Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting </li>\n <li>Prepare for and manage annual audit  </li>\n <li>Client and staff training opportunities </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Passionate about working in or supporting non-profit organizations </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance </li>\n <li>5-7 plus years accounting experience </li>\n <li>Experience working in a remote environment preferred </li>\n <li>Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive on a timely basis  </li>\n <li>Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills </li>\n <li>Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems </li>\n <li>Non-profit accounting, public accounting experience, and/or consulting experience is a plus but not required  </li>\n <li>CPA certification is a plus </li>\n <li>Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus </li>\n <li>Our part-time employees are expected to work during normal business hours to best serve our clients</li>\n <li>Customized cover letter explaining interest and qualifications for this role is required </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>YPTC Offers</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>A Best Place to Work! Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for various bonuses. A professional development reimbursement and technology stipend are also provided on an annual basis.
