    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Pay:&nbsp;$26.52 per hour</strong><br><strong>Schedule:&nbsp; Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Benefit package includes:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, vision &amp; dental insurance and prescription drug benefits</li>\n <li>Life and Accidental Death &amp; Dismemberment (AD&amp;D) insurance&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Sick and vacation time</li>\n <li>Long- and short-term disability (optional)</li>\n <li>Paid holidays</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li>\n <li>Civic duty and military leave</li>\n <li>Education assistance&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work with a purpose!&nbsp;</strong>Management &amp; Training Corporation (MTC) provides a safe and secure working environment for our staff<strong> at the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, TX,&nbsp;</strong>while helping detainees gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>What you’ll do:&nbsp;</strong>You’ll be responsible for duties involving HVAC repairs and general maintenance repairs on equipment and buildings, assisting with technical trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Essential functions:</strong></p>\n<ol>\n <li>Perform maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.</li>\n <li>Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets and fuses as directed.</li>\n <li>Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.</li>\n <li>Install window shades or coverings, security locks, etc.</li>\n <li>Perform repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures, washers, seals, etc.</li>\n <li>Help prepare surfaces for finishing, i.e., painting, as directed.</li>\n <li>Direct the work of detainees assigned to facility maintenance as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Perform preventive maintenance checks on HVAC systems.</li>\n <li>Perform routine schedules checks of HVAC systems.</li>\n <li>Requires long periods of walking and standing.</li>\n <li>Climbing stairs and ladders as required for facility maintenance.</li>\n <li>Pushing and pulling of maintenance tool cart is required.</li>\n <li>Respond to emergency situations or equipment breakdowns.</li>\n <li>Providing cleaning, transportation, moving of equipment as needed.</li>\n <li>Regular attendance is required.</li>\n <li>Promote the development of positive social skills among detainees through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.</li>\n <li>Maintain accountability of detainees and property; adhere to safety practices</li>\n</ol>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Education and experience requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Training and licensing in the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>General knowledge of repair and maintenance, and three (3) years of maintenance or related experience also required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must successfully complete preservice training.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Make a positive impact in your community by doing meaningful work that results in a rewarding career.</strong></p>\n<p>Management &amp; Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
