No relocation assistance available.</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>This position primarily supports operations through the following initiatives</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Refining and standardizing processes</li><li>Leading and participating with lean and continuous improvement projects</li><li>Reducing and standardizing machine setup</li><li>Trouble shooting and resolving quality related issues as well as reducing scrap and rework</li><li>Developing cost reduction programs through analysis of alternative materials and processes&nbsp;</li><li>Be the responsible engineer on production released designs,&nbsp;ensuring smooth transition from design to production.</li><li>Assist with the introduction of new products from the design and development phase to production release.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Lead continuous improvement teams to analyze and improves manufacturing methods by implementing solutions such as using new or improved fixtures, machinery, equipment or handling methods.</li><li>Use root cause analysis methods to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing-related issues.</li><li>Provide quotes and cost estimates of improvement efforts including but not limited to fixtures, machinery, handling methods or new materials.</li><li>Communicates with vendors and purchasing to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts.</li><li>Communicate with management, new products, and other staff regarding current manufacturing capabilities and ideas on developing future capabilities.</li><li>Improve overall processing of material in various fabrication and assembly processes through data collection and analysis by reducing cycle time, lead time, cost and quality defects.</li><li>Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.</li><li>Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, drawings, 3D CAD models and standard operating procedures.</li><li>Develop project plans and own responsibility for completion of milestones that identify all project steps, resources required and capital requirements.</li><li>Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li>Must possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well within cross-departmental groups and clearly communicate solutions.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
