    "description": "<h2></h2>\n<p>As<strong> GFT </strong>continues to grow and expand, we are seeking an emerging <strong>Senior Transit Project Manager</strong> to support our <strong>Transportation Group</strong> in <strong>Metro Nashville, TN.  </strong>This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of 3 days of onsite office attendance. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>GFT is seeking a candidate with 15-20 years of experience in managing multi-disciplined teams for passenger rail and/or transit projects in Tennessee. </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have experience as a Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager for FTA/FRA funded projects involving Bus Facilities, Bus Rapid Transit, Light Rail, Heavy Rail Rapid Transit, or Commuter Rail. PE Registration required. A Bachelor degree is required, masters preferred, and progressive positions with major transportation agencies or consultants expected. </p>\n<p>The position is responsible for coordinating and reviewing the work of engineers and planners working in diverse disciplines to design and plan major transportation infrastructure. The position requires good verbal and writing skills and ability to successfully interact with clients and federal agency oversight. Work includes corridor planning, alternatives analysis NEPA documentation, project scheduling, and funding applications. Some travel necessary. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong> </p>\n<p>General duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as Project Manager with involvement in client development, project delivery and overall client satisfaction both locally and in other regions in support of company projects. </li>\n <li>Responsible for overall supervision and quality of those projects assigned. Assure projects conform to the contractual agreements the firm has made to our clients. </li>\n <li>Assure projects are completed within the allocated period of time and within the budget that has been assigned. </li>\n <li>Assist in business development goals established for the firm. </li>\n <li>Grow into a role to provide team leadership. Plan, organize, and supervise the work of staff. </li>\n <li>Evaluate progress of the staff and results obtained and recommend changes to achieve overall objectives. </li>\n <li>Mentor other employees to be able to participate in transit projects. </li>\n <li>Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. </li>\n <li>Evaluate progress of the staff and results obtained and recommend changes to achieve overall success. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>What you will bring to our firm: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree civil engineering or planning field required, Master’s preferred. </li>\n <li>Minimum 15-20 years of management experience in the planning and design of transit/rail/ bus / facility infrastructure is desired. </li>\n <li>Experience with transit projects ranging from planning/concept design/through project development is valuable. </li>\n <li>Registration as a licensed PE or AICP required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p>\n<p>The salary range for this role is $170,000 -$210,000.
