As a Pier Solutions project manager, you will be tasked with assisting in the management of construction projects and providing technical services. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This is the perfect job for you if you strive to merge technical engineering and practical construction services.  </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><br>Reporting to the Director of Operations, your responsibilities may include the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading multiple projects at a time, both on-site and from your office.</li>\n<li><span>Supporting all aspects of construction work, including:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span>developing proposals for various contract models;</span></li>\n<li><span>preparing estimates for quoted and tendered work;</span></li>\n<li><span>on-site labour to assist construction crews;</span></li>\n<li><span>managing schedules, materials, and subcontractors;</span></li>\n<li><span>aiding in job cost tracking;</span></li>\n<li><span>preparing and submitting environmental management plans;</span></li>\n<li><span>supporting safety coordinator in completing daily and project-specific safety requirements;</span></li>\n<li><span>reporting on project progress, offering viable solutions and opportunities as they arise; and</span></li>\n<li><span>submitting and tracking RFIs, change orders, and site instructions.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span>Providing technical services, including:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span>bridge/structure inspections, maintenance plans, load ratings, as well as other design services;</span></li>\n<li><span>writing technical reports and reviewing proposals and estimates.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span>Communicating customer issues and devising ways for improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span>Responsibilities will be added over time. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(20, 134, 178)\">Other Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Civil tech diploma or civil engineering degree.</li>\n<li>At least three years of project management and/or bridge engineering experience is preferred.</li>\n<li>At least five years of experience within the construction industry is preferred.<br></li>\n<li>Some bridge experience is an asset, but not required.</li>\n<li>Specialized training in timber structures is an asset, but not required.</li>\n<li>Construction/carpentry experience is an asset, but not required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(20, 134, 178)\">Skills and Competencies</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Client-facing, internal, and written communication.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Planning, scheduling, budgeting, and estimating.</li>\n<li>Conflict resolution.</li>\n<li>Effective communication with trade contractors, citizens, and technical/design team.</li>\n<li>Able to offer superb client experiences through effective management.</li>\n<li>Juggling many responsibilities in the field and at the office.</li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and commitment to well-constructed projects.</li>\n<li>Class 5 driver's license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(20, 134, 178)\">Character</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leader and team player.</li>\n<li>Keen to learn and contribute.</li>\n<li>Collaborative, innovative, and creative.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(20, 134, 178)\">Our Mission</span></span></p>\n<p>Bridges in rural Manitoba and Saskatchewan are being replaced instead of repaired or neglected instead of maintained, adding undue cost to taxpayers.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our Solution</span>: we collaborate with local leaders to provide fiscally responsible, proactive, and preventative maintenance options.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our Advantage</span>: we empower clients by uniquely combining engineering and construction expertise. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Our clients include municipal, provincial, and federal governments, First Nations peoples, short-line rail companies, and trail associations.
