Work will be done collaboratively with the maintenance team and there may be some management of contractors based on business needs. This is a hands-on role responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and operational duties to support facility equipment, buildings, and grounds. The role ensures that all physical assets are safe, functional, and maintained to support overall business operations and objectives</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Facilities &amp; Equipment Maintenance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs</li>\n<li>Diagnose issues and complete repairs related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems</li>\n<li>Conduct preventive maintenance on facility equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, trailers, and shop machinery</li>\n<li>Maintain and service small equipment such as golf carts, scooters, and power tools</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Grounds &amp; Property Upkeep</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain exterior areas including snow removal, lawn care, weed control, and general property cleanup</li>\n<li>Perform seasonal maintenance such as gutter cleaning, gravel grading, and pothole repair</li>\n<li>Ensure overall property appearance, safety, and functionality across multiple areas</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety &amp; Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct regular safety inspections of fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, equipment, and facilities</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain clean, organized work environments</li>\n<li>Report safety concerns and maintenance needs to management in a timely manner</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Operations &amp; Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services</li>\n<li>Maintain maintenance records, complete reports, and track work performed</li>\n<li>Support various departments as needed to ensure smooth daily operations</li>\n<li>Limited business travel to assist with larger equipment removal projects</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or GED required</li>\n<li>Experience with hand and power tools required</li>\n<li>Experience operating a forklift</li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, and/or metal work</li>\n<li>Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, skid loaders (CDL a plus)  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications and Experience: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid CDL</li>\n<li>Fabrication or welding experience is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supervisory Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</p>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Duties: </span></p>\n<p>Barr Inc. is a diversified family-owned business that includes B2B Commercial Refrigeration, Commercial Racking, Storage, and Luxury Apartments.
