You will collaborate closely with production process technicians to maintain consistent and acceptable yields and work toward continuous improvement across production processes.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; PERFORMANCE MEASURES</strong></p><ul><li>Perform in process, final, and receiving inspections on optical, mechanical, and electronic components per approved work instructions, drawings, and CTQ criteria.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with production process technicians to initiate and maintain a process for producing parts with consistent and acceptable yields.</li><li>Perform Process Compliance Audits to ensure conformance to company procedures.</li><li>Perform dimensional measurements using manual/hand gauges (calipers, micrometers, etc.).</li><li>Perform visual inspections of optical parts per MIL PRF-13830B to identify non-conformance according to documented parameters.</li><li>Perform final inspections both in-process (where applicable) and as a standalone operation.</li><li>Identify, contain, and correctly tag nonconforming material; create NCR/DMR entries with defect codes, photos, and evidence.</li><li>Document inspection results electronically into Excel-based inspection files.</li><li>Align goals with the company’s core values: customer focus, integrity, action, unity, and precision.</li><li>Continuously raise individual performance to proactively address problem-solving and continuous improvement.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma required, associate degree preferred.</li><li>1–3 years of experience in precision manufacturing, optics, electronics, or metrology.</li><li>Ability to interpret mechanical and optical drawings, CTQs, and specifications.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented work instructions.</li><li>Ability to operate manual and computer-controlled inspection equipment.</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs; cleanroom discipline as needed.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, including the ability to document inspection results clearly.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.</li><li>Comfortable collaborating in a cross-functional, fast-changing environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><em>Notes: This job description is not intended to be exhaustive in every respect, but rather to clearly define the fundamental purpose, responsibilities and dimensions for the role.
